How to Travel with Your Wig
Share
Traveling with your wig doesn’t have to be stressful — a few small steps can make sure she arrives just as flawless as you.
Packing Your Wig
- Use a satin bag or a silk-lined pouch to protect the hair from friction.
- If you’re carrying multiple wigs, use separate pouches or place tissue paper inside each wig to help maintain shape.
- For longer trips, consider a foldable wig stand so you can properly air it out once you reach your destination.
Avoid Crushed Hairlines
- To avoid flattening the lace or denting the hairline, don’t tightly fold your wig. Lay it in a curve inside your carry-on or handbag.
- Never stuff it in a checked-in suitcase without padding — the pressure can cause irreversible creasing or damage.
Humidity & Weather Care
- Protect your wig from extreme weather conditions by adjusting your styling accordingly (protective braids or a loose bun work well for travel days).
Pro Tip
- Always carry it in your hand luggage — just like your makeup or jewelry, your wig is too precious to risk losing.
